NoahFace supports identifying your users using QR Codes as an alternative to facial recognition.
If you only want to identify a small number of users using QR Codes, with the majority using facial recognition, see: Identifying Individual Users Using QR Codes instead.
To identify your users using QR Codes, just edit your "All Access" rule:
Set Identification Required to "QR Code":
To generate and distribute a QR Code for an individual, select Send Registration next to their user record:
If you want to bulk send QR Codes to everyone, select Send All Registrations next to a Group or Synchronization as appropriate. This will require confirmation:
As an alternative, you can generate your own QR Codes for each user containing their unique User Number (eg: Employee Number, Member Number), ideally as a sticker they can attach to their access card. You can use any 3rd party QR Code generation software, as long as it can generate "text" type QR Codes. NoahFace will also recognize employee vCards which are matched to users using their mobile Phone Number (vCards contain a lot of information, so need to be printed quite large so there is sufficient resolution).
Users will receive either an email with their QR Code attached or an SMS message, depending on your configured communication method.
They can click on the link to load the QR Code into their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet:
Users do not need to register - when they present at the NoahFace kiosk, they simply hold up their QR Code to the iPad camera to identify themselves.
All of the interactive features of NoahFace are available when using QR Codes for identification. For example you can:
When a user is identified using a QR Code, you will see the QR Code as the event photo:
